Seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead and support coordinators across multiple construction sites. The role involves ensuring consistent HSE policy implementation, collaborating with project teams, driving incident investigations, and fostering a culture of safety excellence. Candidates should have a university degree, CRSP designation, over 8 years of HSE experience with leadership responsibilities, and be comfortable with frequent site travel within the GTA
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and support HSE Coordinators and Advisors across multiple project sites, providing coaching, mentorship, and technical guidance.

Ensure consistent implementation of HSE policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives in alignment with business objectives.

Collaborate with project management teams and engineers to integrate HSE requirements into project planning, execution, and milestone monitoring.
-
Analyze and interpret complex systems of work, identifying opportunities for risk reduction and process improvement.
-
Utilize mobile technology and digital platforms for data collection, reporting, and communication.
-
Monitor project progress, ensuring HSE compliance at all stages and supporting teams in meeting project milestones.

Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation across sites.
-
Foster a culture of safety excellence and continuous improvement through regular site visits, training, and engagement.
-
Prepare and present HSE performance reports to senior leadership.

Stay current with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies.
Qualifications:
-
University degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field (required).
-
Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation or actively working towards certification (required).
-
The ability to obtain a level 4 OPP security clearance.
-
8+ years of progressive HSE experience in construction or related industries, with at least 3 years in leadership or multi-site oversight role.

Strong business acumen and proven ability to translate HSE strategy into operational results.
-
Demonstrated experience in project planning, milestone monitoring, and working with complex systems of work.

Proficient in the use of mobile technology, safety management software, and digital reporting tools.

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Experience collaborating with project management teams and engineers, with a solid understanding of end-to-end project processes.

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to multiple sites within the GTA, field-based role with about 50% travel required.
Assets:

Experience with large-scale, multi-trade construction projects.
-
Additional safety or project management certifications.
-
Experience in strategic translation of HSE programs.
