Branch Administrator

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the smooth functioning of day-to-day administrative operations, in accordance with policies and procedures, while playing an instrumental role in supporting the growth and success of our advisor teams.
Your job:
- Ensure that day-to-day branch operations related to financial transactions are compliant and provide the first line of contact for escalation of client related, operational and logistical matters.
- Oversee the HR management of 20+ associates, including performance evaluations and recruitment of new talent.
- Disseminate administrative procedures and policies to ensure that branch employees understand and comply with them while contributing to enhance processes and improve operations.
- Perform rigorous follow-ups as recommended by Internal Audit and Compliance
- Make sure that the premises and a quality work environment are maintained and monitor branch activity related budgets.
- Demonstrate leadership that encourages positive morale and culture within the branch and build our brand within the community.
- Provide administrative support to the Regional Managers on a variety of tasks
Your team:
National Bank Financial – Wealth Management is the fifth largest investment dealer in Canada. We have close to 1,000 investment advisors who manage the assets of more than 400,000 clients in about 100 branches.
You will report to the Regional Administrative Manager for your branch’s region. Collaboration and partnership will be key to your success.
Prerequisites:
- College or technical diploma and 3 years of experience OR bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Administrative support experience
- Experience in the investment industry, an asset
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course, an asset
- Very good knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
