Learn More About What We Do The Opportunity Reporting to the DAO Manager, the Avionics Design & Airworthiness Engineer will carry out the tasks related to design and airworthiness of SKYTRAC products and installation and integration of those products on customer aircraft.
As An Avionics Design & Airworthiness Engineer, Responsibilities Include
- Develop all necessary avionics design documentation including system architecture drawings, wiring diagrams, routing drawings, functional test procedures, ICAs, flight manuals, electrical load analysis etc.
- Develop all necessary avionics compliance documentation including certification plans, system safety assessments, equipment qualification reports, certification test plans (ground, EMC & Flight) etc.
- Liaison with project stakeholders including but not limited to Transport Canada, Project Managers, sub-contractors etc.
- Provide technical & quality review of avionics deliverables to ensure compliance to customer requirements, industry best practices and airworthiness requirements
- Participate in compliance testing activities (Appliance, Ground, EMC & Flight)
- Participate in aircraft surveys & compliance inspection activities
What You Bring Candidate Must Have’s
- Engineering Degree from an accredited University (Aerospace, Mechanical or Structural) or equivalent industry experience
- 2 years of aerospace experience on aircraft modification projects.
- Understanding of avionics & electrical principles.
- Understanding of TCCA, FAA and/or EASA aerospace regulations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of avionics design & airworthiness documentation package.
- Demonstrated knowledge of project and product lifecycle.
- Ability to work in AutoCAD, Altium, and SolidWorks applications.
This Will Make You Stand Out
- Current standing or eligibility for Transport Canada delegation.
- Current standing or eligibility for registration as a P.ENG under EGBC.

This position is for an existing vacancy within our Customer Integration team.
The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000 CAD. The range posted is a guide and may not represent the compensation offered to the successful candidate. Compensation is based on the skills, knowledge, experience, and qualifications brought to the role.
