The Dream Factory is seeking passionate and community-minded leaders to join our Board of Directors and help bring joy, hope and meaningful support to Manitoba children battling life-threatening illnesses and their families.
Founded in 1983, The Dream Factory has granted more than 900 dreams and continues to provide critical family support, community connection and unforgettable experiences that help brighten some of life's most difficult journeys. Every dollar raised stays in Manitoba to support local families.
We are seeking volunteer Board Members who are inspired by our mission and eager to lend their expertise, leadership and passion to a growing and impact-driven organization.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
As a member of the Board of Directors, you will play a key role in helping guide the strategic direction, governance and long-term sustainability of The Dream Factory. Board Members act as ambassadors for the organization, support fundraising and community engagement efforts, and help ensure we continue delivering exceptional experiences and support for Dream Kids and their families.
This is an opportunity to: Make a meaningful impact in the lives of Manitoba children and families Collaborate with an engaged and passionate Board and leadership team Contribute your professional expertise to a respected Manitoba charity Shape the future of an organization rooted in authenticity, connection, fun and trust
WE ARE LOOKING FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH EXPERIENCE IN:
Governance and strategic planning Finance, accounting or audit Fundraising and donor engagement Healthcare or community services Digital, technology or innovation Corporate partnerships and business development
We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences who are passionate about community impact and helping children and families thrive.
BOARD COMMITMENT:
Board Members serve a term of three years, renewable for a second term, with possibility of extension. This is a volunteer position. Attend regular Board meetings and committee meetings Actively participate in strategic discussions and organizational initiatives Support fundraising and community engagement activities Serve as a champion and ambassador for The Dream Factory within the community
