About the Role As the Interim Director of DevSecOps , you will help build, execute, and communicate Plooto's Engineering Vision. You will lead our DevOps, Security, and IT teams in managing the company's most complex and critical systems, ensuring they align with business strategy.
You will collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, manage timelines, allocate resources, and deliver on commitments. As a people leader, you will provide mentorship and career growth opportunities to your direct reports, while leading by example in fostering a culture of automation, security, uptime, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage DevOps, Security, and IT teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable systems.
- Define, delegate, and track project-level work, ensuring visibility to business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define clear requirements, manage budgets, and deliver against timelines.
- Drive automation, CI/CD pipeline improvements, infrastructure scalability, and cost optimization.
- Oversee database management, system performance, uptime, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Establish and track KPIs and OKRs, and produce engineering insights and reports to guide decisions.
- Provide mentorship, recognition, and accountability to build a motivated, high-performing team.
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Be hands-on when appropriate, contributing technical expertise in critical situations.
- Build and manage vendor relationships, ensuring alignment with business and technical needs.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of DevOps experience as an individual contributor, with progression to Senior/Staff level.
- 5+ years in management, leading and scaling DevOps and/or SRE teams.
- Proven track record in high-growth, fast-paced tech environments.
- Deep expertise in DevOps and SRE best practices, including uptime ownership.
- Strong background in CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, database management, and system optimization.
- Extensive knowledge of security practices and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to align technical systems with business strategy.
- Exceptional leadership, mentorship, and communication skills.
Success in this role looks like:
- Plooto's systems achieve high availability, scalability, and performance with minimal downtime.
- The DevOps, Security, and IT teams are motivated, aligned, and delivering reliably against goals.
- Stakeholders have visibility into project progress and confidence in delivery timelines.
