What will you be doing!

  • Leading and supervising a team of trades and lead hands to ensure safe, efficient execution of scheduled work.
  • Setting performance standards, monitoring results, and implementing corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Planning and coordinating work activities, resources, and schedules to meet operational and customer expectations.
  • Reviewing and approving work plans and packages, ensuring alignment with technical requirements and best practices.
  • Supporting hiring, performance management, training, and career development of team members.
  • Conducting field walkdowns, pre-job and post-job briefings, and ensuring strong on-the-floor leadership presence.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety programs, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Participating in incident investigations, meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.
  • Supporting operational decision-making, resolving issues, and driving team performance against KPIs. Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What we are looking for:

  • Education
    • Post-secondary education with a minimum of 5 years of technical or maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience
    • Previous supervisory experience in a maintenance, construction, or technical environment.
    • Experience managing schedules, budgets, and meeting deadlines.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team.
    • Ability to work effectively across teams and with stakeholders - demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Knowledge of regulatory and company requirements, processes, and union agreements.
    • Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and complex construction documents.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues and optimize work plans.
    • Proficiency with systems such as ORACLE or similar tools.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
    • Ability to coach, mentor, and support continuous learning and development.
  • Security Clearance Eligibility Required
    • Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”

Working Conditions:

  • Working schedule: Five (5) days per week, seven and a half (7.5) hours per day for a thirty-seven and a half (37.5) hour work week.
