Overview:

What you will do:

  • Solution as the lead SAP finance (FICO) architect for all pre-sales and sales endeavours including RFIs/RFPs, sole sourced opportunities, proof of concepts, pilot projects as well as delivery including full scale implementations for finance transformation and managed services scope.

  • Articulate finance/controlling solutions for RFI/RFP responses independently and present them effectively in client orals presentations

  • Be the go-to SAP leader for core finance/controlling processes, integrations within SAP and with third-party platforms, systems, applications, and tools including the latest SAP offerings and solutions for finance area of specialization

  • Act as the bridge between the client and the functional and technical teams for finance/controlling scope. Able to translate client business requirements into an SAP finance architecture including incorporation of SAP leading practices, industry knowledge, functional, non-functional / technical (including integrations and extensibility), data, security, reporting, analytics requirements and corresponding solutioning.

  • Responsible for creating and managing reference architecture diagrams for finance/controlling transformation scope and enhancing / tailoring them to meet each individual client’s needs

  • Lead and manage SAP finance/controlling projects, including pre-sales and sales cycles as well as planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of delivery responsibilities while ensuring alignment with organizational and client expectations.

  • Solution, design, and optimize client’s SAP finance/controlling business processes, manage project scope, timeline, budget and quality while advocating for clean core principles.

  • Oversee project documentation, training materials, business process and configuration documentation using leading project management methodologies including KPMG’s Powered and SAP activate.

  • Collaborate with clients’ stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align on project objectives, guiding principles, conduct workshops to validate S/4 functionality alignment with business requirements.

  • Oversee configuration, development, testing and cutover of the S/4 solution by a collaborative team of client, KPMG onshore and offshore teams, as well as third party partners and/or subcontractors.

  • For SAP brownfield projects, experience with CVI (customer vendor integration). Familiar with data synchronization, CVI cockpit, and data preparation for the mandatory conversion item for S/4HANA

  • Lead the Finance service area within the SAP practice and mentor, develop, and manage SAP finance resources fostering an inclusive high-performance team environment.

  • Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders with clients and within KPMG and escalate risks/issues promptly as needed along with well thought out and effective mitigation plan and actions.

  • Oversee build of KPMG’s demo solutions around finance/controlling transformation as part of our asset creation to accelerate client delivery, especially in areas of new capabilities and innovation from SAP.

What you bring to this role:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, information technology or related business field.
  • 10+ years’ experience in SAP pre-sales, sales, and project delivery focused on finance solutions (Financial Accounting - GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Funds Management, Treasury, Banking; Group Reporting; Management Accounting; Project Systems; PaPM; and integration with SAP modules – MM, SD, PP, IM, EWM, IBP, etc. and non SAP applications) .
  • Proficient in clean core fundamentals as they relate to SAP finance/controlling scope for solutioning.
  • Familiar with SAP Signavio, SAP BTP, and SAP BDC capabilities and able to collaborate with the team leads for these respective areas for end-to-end architecture and solutioning.
  • Understanding of SAP public cloud solutions in Finance domain.
  • Experience of leading 5 full lifecycle SAP implementations including Greenfield, Brownfield, and Bluefield S/4 implementation using RISE and GROW methodogies.
  • Deep understanding of financial and management accounting , financial business processes in S/4 and integration with other SAP modules.
  • Table level detailed understanding of ACDOCA , Material Master and other key tables in financial processes.
  • Management, internal controls, and compliance reporting requirements.
  • SAP certifications and hand-on configuration experience on finance modules.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to satisfy the requirements for Canadian Federal Government Secret clearance.
