The Field Application Scientist, Strategic Sales is responsible for leading high‑impact technical engagements that directly advance commercial growth. They translate customer needs into practical solutions, drive adoption of key technologies in the field, and partner closely with Sales to accelerate opportunities, remove barriers, and support strategic accounts.
This position reports to the Country Sales Manager, and is part of the North America Sales team, located in Toronto, Canada, working remotely to cover Canada region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical customer engagements and demos to support field applications and drive adoption of growth-oriented solutions.
- Build strong relationships across end users, influencers, and decision-makers to drive long-term account growth.
- Identify growth opportunities within existing and new accounts and support strategic account plans.
- Capture field insights to shape product, strategy, and GTM improvements, collaborating across Sales, Marketing, and Product to align customer needs with commercial priorities.
- Represent the company as a subject matter expert , at customer meetings, events, and industry forums.
Requirements:
- Master’s in chemistry, biology or other related Science required
- Advanced knowledge of Chromatography (minimum 5 years laboratory experience)
- HPLC/GC/SPE Method development and troubleshooting experience
- Ability to leverage technical expertise into customer solutions that drive commercial growth for the market verticals in the Canada region.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally (USA and others) based on the needs of the business (50%)
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- PhD in chemistry, biology or other related Science required
- Ability to present and communicate information effectively across different audiences
- Knowledge of sales principles and methods of negotiation, and demonstrated advanced capability to identify business opportunities

The annual salary range for this role is $130,000 to 150,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
