Kardium has a unique opportunity for an experienced Equipment Technician. As a member of the Manufacturing team, the Equipment Technician will be responsible for managing the assembly, repair and calibration manufacturing equipment used in the production of the Globe Catheter for treatment of atrial fibrillation.
Due to the nature of our manufacturing operations, this role involves an afternoon shift schedule (from 3:00pm to 11 pm) Monday to Friday. Occasional work on statutory holidays may also be required. For candidates selected to interview, this will be discussed in more detail.
Please note, this opportunity is an onsite work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.
Meaningful work you will be a part of
Your responsibilities will include:
- Generate equipment maintenance schedules to maximize equipment utilization
- Perform equipment maintenance tasks (mechanical and electrical)
- Act as first level escalation for equipment failures
- Manage schedules and documentation for calibration work completed by external 3rd party vendors
- Manage logistics for sending equipment to 3rd parties for calibration and repair
- Execute Installation Qualification (IQs) test plans for new and revised equipment
- Assist with the implementation and documentation of new equipment and changes to existing equipment
- Assist with changes to manufacturing infrastructure
- Assist with the management of spare parts inventories
- Perform cleanroom monitoring and maintenance activities including HVAC systems

You are suited to our approach and possess these attributes:
- Technical diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in equipment maintenance or servicing
- Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment such as ISO13485 or AS9100 preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness
- Experience working in a cleanroom environment is desirable
- Experience writing technical procedures and reports
- Strong diagnostic and critical thinking skills
- Effective written and verbal communication and technical documentation skills
- Flexible and able to take on additional responsibilities as appropriate
Compensation
Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.
- $60,000 – 80,000 (CAD Annually)
