What you’ll do:
- Provide superior customer service to internal and external users related to IT infrastructure used for internet and data services delivery.
- Procure, install, configure, and troubleshoot end-user computer hardware, software, systems, networks (LAN), printers, scanners, mobile devices, and other IT peripherals for WCG staff.
- Ensure all required software upgrades are applied in a timely fashion.
- Maintain Windows and Linux server operating systems used on servers to support internet and data services; Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, TFTP, etc.
- Manage Linux and Windows based web hosting software, virtual machines and related services.
- Develop and enhance automated monitoring for network systems to proactively identify problems.
- Create technical solutions to business problems or challenges related to IT infrastructure.
- Implement network changes in accordance with organizational change policy.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a network services field including hands-on experience with IT infrastructure is required.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of:
- IT infrastructure standards and configuration best practices.
- Managing enterprise level firewalls and gateway devices.
- Managing Microsoft Active Directory and Office 365 environments.
- VMware, storage systems/clusters, firewalls, and other IT infrastructure components.
- Unix based (Linux, Ubuntu, Cent OS etc.) operating system administration and support issues.
- Scripting languages (Power Shell, Bash, PHP, Perl, Python etc.).
- Networking (TCP/IP networking and core technologies, such as VPN, routing, HTTP, DNS, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of RF fundamentals as it applies to cable networks.
- Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license and must be bondable.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be available to be on call.
- A combination of education, certifications, and experience may be considered.
