Tasks
Carefully track the temperature gauges and colour, heating units, furnace flames, etc. to melt metal as per requirements Coat cores with protective materials Make sand moulds using patterns, moulding boxes, sand and hand tools following bench, floor or pit moulding methods Operate ovens to dry moulds Pour molten metal into moulds to produce metal castings Make cores for use in moulds to form holes or void spaces in castings Set up, adjust and operate various casting machines Set up and operate casting machines to cast ferrous or non ferrous metal products Hand ladle molten metal into moulds to produce castings Operate furnaces used to melt metals for moulding and casting
