Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm or 8:00am – 5:00pm
Compensation: $55,000 - $58,000 per annum

Summary:
The Administrative Support is responsible for providing front-line support through switchboard operations, mail and courier handling, document management, and dispatching residential service calls. This role requires strong organizational and customer service skills to manage inquiries, resolve or escalate concerns, and maintain accurate records. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, proficient in Microsoft Office, and able to balance multiple priorities while ensuring compliance with Miller Waste Systems’ safety policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Main switchboard operator for all incoming calls, sorting incoming mail as well as courier packages.
- Filing and general maintenance of all administrative documents, update daily records, as well as any other general administrative duties as required (both manual paper and electronic filing system).
- Answering customer concerns and providing appropriate direct support or escalating to management as needed.
- Answering incoming calls for inquiries
- Dispatching residential calls/complaints to Route Supervisor and Drivers
Competencies & Qualifications:
- Successful candidates must have a minimum of 6 months of administrative experience
- Exhibit excellent communication (written, oral, and auditory) and customer service skills.
- Highly productive, team player with excellent written, oral and customer service skills
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Show strong attention to detail with proven problem-solving skills and accuracy in your work.
- Demonstrate abilities in managing time/multiple priorities with strict deadlines.
