THE POSITION The Mechanical Engineering Manager in the Product Development department leads and develops a team of mechanical engineers and designers, overseeing the end-to-end execution of innovative, high-quality products from concept through production and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Director of Mechanical Engineering, the manager sets technical direction, prioritizes team efforts, and ensures that designs meet performance, reliability, cost, and manufacturability goals. In this leadership role, the manager also drives cross-functional collaboration with electrical, manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams to deliver solutions on time and within scope.
How You Will Be Making An Impact
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical designers to drive high performance and foster professional growth.
- Oversee the design, analysis, prototyping, and testing of mechanical components and assemblies to ensure technical excellence.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, electrical engineering, product management, and quality teams to ensure project success.
- Manage project timelines and budgets to deliver results on schedule and aligned with objectives.
- Enforce best engineering practices, design standards, and quality control procedures across the team.
- Support the full product development lifecycle from concept through production while maintaining thorough documentation at every stage.
- Lead design reviews and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.

- Cross-functional collaboration is seamless, enabling efficient problem-solving and alignment from concept through production.
- Engineering processes, documentation, and design standards are consistently followed and continuously improved.
- Design reviews are rigorous, and products meet all applicable industry and regulatory requirements before release.
- Project risks are proactively identified and mitigated, resulting in minimal delays or quality issues.
- You are recognized as a trusted technical leader who contributes to strategic decisions and drives engineering excellence across the organization.
What Skills And Experience You Require
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of mechanical engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proficient in CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred) and FEA analysis software.
- In-depth knowledge of Design for Manufacturability, Design for Assembly, and Design for Inspection principles.
- Proven project management experience, with a track record of managing complete product development cycles.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
