Summary
Title: Consultant, ICT Systems Architecture, EPIC, Non-Mgmt
Job Status: Regular-Full Time
Location: 1730 McGillivray Boulevard. Winnipeg, MB
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Reporting to the Manager, Professional Services, the Consultant is responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable ICT infrastructure solutions across network, systems, and security domains. This includes conducting assessments, developing architectures, and ensuring compliance with best practices for enterprise environments. The role requires strong technical expertise combined with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design & Architecture
- Develop, design, and maintain network, systems, and security architectures using structured solution development methodologies
- Conduct infrastructure and security assessments, risk evaluations, and develop recommendations aligned with client requirements
- Implementation & Support
- Perform hands-on configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of network, systems, and security technologies
- Ensure security measures are implemented and validated through testing and compliance checks
- Advisory & Collaboration
- Collaborate with clients to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Provide guidance to internal teams and clients on technology issues and best practices
- Liaise with Sales and Support teams to assist with client-related projects and proposals
- Research & Documentation
- Research, evaluate, and perform proof-of-concept (POC) for emerging technologies in network, systems, and security domains
- Prepare detailed documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders, ensuring adherence to organizational standards
- Other
- Complete special projects and other related duties as assigned
Critical Qualifications
- University Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Management Systems or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in ICT infrastructure design and implementation, including network, systems, and security
- Exposure to hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud) and virtualization technologies
CCNA/CCNP Route & Switch/Security; Security certifications are considered an asset- Network: Wired & wireless design, implementation, and management
- Systems: Microsoft Windows Server, Linux OS, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM)
- Security: Firewalls (e.g. Cisco, Checkpoint, Fortinet), vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus/Tenable)—an asset
- Cloud: M365/Azure, AWS (desired)
- Tools: Network monitoring and management (e.g. PRTG, Nagios, SolarWinds, Cisco tools)
- Additional: Experience with Aruba/Silverpeak products is an asset

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Self-directed, and efficient at managing multiple simultaneous projects/priorities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt to and learn new software and hardware related tools and infrastructure
- Excellent teamwork and customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Acceptable Criminal Record Check
- A Valid Driver’s License and access to vehicle is required
- Travel is required
