The Blueprint

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Corporate Accountant is responsible for managing accounts receivable and payable functions, including financial reconciliations and monthly corporate book closures. This role supports the preparation of financial reports, year-end audits, and employee chargebacks, ensuring compliance with internal processes and timelines. Additionally, the Corporate Accountant performs a variety of administrative duties such as preparing T2200 forms and contributing to various office initiatives.

A Glimpse into Your Daily Activities

  • Manage Yardi system by creating new condo corporation and developer information, charge monthly management fees and run Yardi EFT and NSF fees.
  • Prepare cheque deposits for non-EFT management fees.
  • Run arrears reports and follow up with key stakeholders to ensure timely payment.
  • Reconcile miscellaneous receivables annually and bank statements weekly.
  • Process all Accounts Receivable and Payables for the corporation.
  • Compile monthly cash flow analysis.
  • Process invoices for employee's chargeback and prepare working papers for year end audits.
  • Prepare year end T2200's upon request.
  • Close corporate books monthly which includes a variety of tasks such as booking accruals for employee expenses, equipment leases, payroll, etc.

The Architect of Your Success

  • A College Diploma or University Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
  • Strong customer service orientation with exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative accounting team.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new processes and software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Yardi Voyager 7S software and in the Property Management industry is an asset.
