About the role
Agricorp is looking for an Analyst (20 month contract) to join our Program Analysis department in the Program Development division. Agricorp’s Program Development division interprets and synthesizes agricultural and business knowledge to ensure Agricorp delivers effective and sustainable risk management programs for Ontario producers. The Program Analysis department is responsible for processes related to analytical reporting, setting premium rates, forecasting program payments and legislative reporting.
The Role
The Analyst provides basic analysis for projects and processes, focusing on the needs of our internal customers**.** In this role, you will:
- Conduct analysis to support ongoing departmental processes, such as, reporting, price calculation, rate setting
- Provide analytical support for ongoing divisional and organizational projects and processes
- Act as a project team member as required
- Interpret and synthesize analytical results
- Respond to ad hoc requests for data, reports and information to support business efforts
- Effectively communicate information to staff and stakeholders
- Research and develop discussion papers and reports
Job status: 20 month contract (posting for an existing vacancy)
Work status: Full time in office
Salary: $63,814 - $75,075
Location: Must live in Ontario to perform this role
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, statistics or mathematics, actuarial science, data science or equivalent experience
- Minimum one years’ experience using analytical expertise, effective communication and organizational skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
- Strong analytical, mathematical and statistical skills
- Experience working with business processes, legislation and regulations an asset
- Basic knowledge of Statistical Analysis System (SAS) an asset
- Agricultural or agronomic background an asset
