Our Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a 3-month limited term, full-time (40 hours per week) Shipping Coordinator (Afternoons) within our Shipping Department at our Thorold Main Office and Distribution Centre. (THIS ROLE COULD POTENTIALLY BECOME PERMANENT)

We’re looking for someone with a passion for logistics, organization, and continuous learning who is eager to support the Shipping team and cross-functional partners as they manage daily operational priorities and ongoing process improvements.

What Will You Do?

Order Management & Processing:

  • Process close-out operations and end-of-day procedures
  • Handle email communications with carriers
  • Manage and complete Bills of Lading (BOLs)
  • Print and organize orders for shipping

Shipping & Labeling Operations:

  • Print shipping labels for outbound orders
  • Apply labels accurately to packages and shipments
  • Verify carton counts for LTL (Less Than Truckload) shipments
  • Wrap and secure LTL pallets for transport
  • Generate shipping labels specific to LTL shipments

Quality Control:

  • Verify shipment box counts against orders
  • Ensure proper labeling and documentation
  • Maintain an organized and efficient workflow throughout the shift

Qualifications

  • Experience in logistics, shipping, or warehouse operations preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work both within a team and independently
  • Physical ability to handle packages up to 40 lbs, apply labels, and wrap pallets
  • Familiarity with LTL shipping processes is an asset
