Our Corporate Services team based in our Toronto Head Office manages our finance, human resources, back office, administration and IT support services for our global employees, customers and stakeholders.
Reporting to the Office Manager we are hiring a Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to be based at our George Street offices in Downtown Toronto on a 5 day a week basis. This person will take charge of the hands-on maintenance of office facilities and provide day-to-day operational and back-office support.
Role and responsibilities:

Fire and Alarm system maintenance and monitoring

Rooftop maintenance
-
Electronic and hard copy filing and recordkeeping
-
Rooftop Patio maintenance
-
Solar panel maintenance
-
External cleanliness and snow removal
-
Health and Safety support
-
Wall graffiti removal
-
Storeroom maintenance and stock control
-
Place monthly orders for food, snacks and office supplies.
-
Supporting company external / internal events.
-
Collection and delivery of office supplies
-
Office opening and closing
-
Mailing and shipping.
-
Maintaining plants.
-
Take care of some cleaning, repairs and simple maintenance of the office facilities.
-
Identify and execute cost savings initiatives.
-
Provide secondary support for travel and internal / external event coordination.
-
Office administration / reception – filing, answering phone calls etc.
-
Vendor liaison and oversight related to all admin and facilities activities (e.g. pest control, cleaning, maintenance and repair, security).
-
Maintain master vendor list.
-
Assisting HR during the new employee onboarding process.
Skills and qualifications
-
Must have driving license and own vehicle to facilitate collection / delivery of office materials etc.

Facility maintenance experience
-
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
-
Health and Safety experience/certification
-
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
-
2-5 years’ experience of supporting an office environment is an asset.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other office technology is an asset.
-
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
-
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
Attention to detail, sense of urgency and an enthusiastic can-do attitude.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
