Corporate Services Manager - Supply Chain Management Location: Regina, SK

Number of Positions: 1

Salary: $96,011 - $128,015 (Based on education and experience)

Type of Position: Permanent Full Time

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY Accountable to the Director of Supply Chain Management, the Corporate Services Manager - Supply Chain Mgmt role will be responsible for overall leadership in developing and executing corporate-wide sourcing strategies for a portfolio of categories with the highest level of complexity - multiple suppliers with multiple relationships and large value contractual arrangements. The incumbent will leverage proven strategic sourcing experience, demand management, supply market intelligence, strategic thinking, financial acumen, negotiation and contracting and supplier management skills to develop and implement sourcing and supplier performance management strategies that minimize Total Cost of Ownership while providing exceptional stakeholder value.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute overall Category Strategy including; strategic sourcing, negotiations, contract management, supplier development and performance management, demand management, spend analytics, process improvement and total cost of ownership models where appropriate.
  • Lead and manage the organization’s sourcing of the category(s) to higher levels of maturity in ways that are both consistent with business objectives and industry performance metrics.
  • Develop and maintain network of stakeholders to gain input into demand planning and forecasting strategy development and to influence deployment of Category Strategies.
  • Manage governance and control programs with respect to select categories to ensure business supply continuity, protect company assets, and comply with corporate policies and contractual compliance.
  • Perform category analytics to enhance transparency (e.g. cost volumes) that generate savings through a spend management program that may include Demand Management, Supplier Management, Go to Market Strategies, Renegotiation, Consolidation or Compliance.
  • Negotiate enterprise-wide agreements that accommodate current and future business objectives, financial principles, and category/industry leading practices.
  • Define Supplier Relationship Management and Governance requirements in conjunction with business and functional groups focusing on Risk, Performance and Financial Management as they relate to individual suppliers.
  • Create and communicate supplier metrics and/or scorecards which are linked to contractual business requirements and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and conducts periodic performance reviews of key suppliers for compliance.
  • Implement leading edge practices for end to end Supply Chain in alignment with overall Category Management objectives and in support of Category Strategies.
  • As a member of the Strategic Sourcing team, collaborate with the Contract Management Office in supporting a single SaskTel voice within the supply market community optimizing operational requirements with commercial competitiveness and performance management requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/ Commerce, Supply Chain Management or Engineering along with a minimum of 3 years management experience.
  • A Professional Designation in Supply Chain Management or equivalent preferred (S.C.M.P. or C.P.P.B.) – or a willingness to complete these designations as part of your career development.
  • Strong relationship management expertise including development, maintenance and strengthening of business relationships, both internal and external.
  • Proven ability to negotiate enterprise-wide supply agreements that accommodate current and future business objectives, financial/accounting principles, and industry leading practices.
  • Excellent change-leadership and advanced problem solving skills.
  • Candidate must demonstrate that they are well-organized and able to prioritize, multi-task, and adhere to tight deadlines while working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Superior communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) with the ability to indirectly influence others at all levels throughout the organization.
  • Ability to work in a dual responsibility matrix environment and aggressively take the lead on implementation of sourcing opportunities that positively affect numerous business units.
  • Ability to establish a consistent methodology for managing supplier performance, assessing and mitigating risk, driving continuous improvement and developing high-quality supplier relationships.
  • Candidate must demonstrate an appropriate level of pro-activeness and assertiveness with an ability to lead key stakeholdersthroughout the organization.
