About the role
Finance Manager, Canada I'm working with a global commercial real estate advisory and services firm to fill a newly created Finance Manager position for their Canada Group. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants genuine room to shape a role from the ground up, with strong visibility to senior leadership from day one. The successful candidate will report directly to the President, with a dotted line to the Chief Accounting Officer in the US. What you'll do You'll own the month-end close process, from ensuring accuracy of financial information to coordinating with the corporate accounting team on US GAAP adjustments. You'll review customer contracts and support revenue recognition, oversee accounts payable and receivable, and prepare monthly income statement and balance sheet analytics. You'll also manage statutory financial statements, lead the annual audit process, and coordinate local tax compliance and transfer pricing with the corporate tax team and outside advisors. Beyond the numbers, you'll support local leadership with operational and financial needs and collaborate closely with FP&A on reporting. What we're looking for Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting CPA, CA, or equivalent chartered designation 6 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory experience Bilingual in English and French Advanced Excel skills Experience with Oracle, Coupa, or FloQast is a plus Real estate industry experience is a plus Why apply through me Direct line to the hiring President, no black hole applications Newly created role with genuine influence over process and structure Compensation in the range of $130,000 to $160,000 CAD, depending on experience Comprehensive benefits package Opportunity to grow with a fast-scaling global firm
