We are currently looking for a Part-Time Community Support Worker tojoin our amazing team! Preference for Applicants who are able to work weekends.
Candidates must be local to Vancouver Island to be considered.

Compensation, hours, and location:
The Community Support Worker is Grid Level 10, Compensation starts at 25.95/hour and requires union membership.
This position is Saturday-Sunday 11:00am-7:00pm, Wednesday-Friday 4:00pm-8:00pm.
Who We’re Looking For:
Candidates who are looking to contribute to the growth and development of others, have a passion for helping others, and have experience working with at-risk children, youth, or adults. Candidates who are looking to grow their career in the social services field.
Candidates who are positive, empathetic, and hard working.
Additional qualities we look for are:
- Ability to work as a team and contribute to the plans of care.
- Excellent communicator who is understanding, patient, and non-judgmental while providing exceptional care to our youth.
- Computer literacy - ability to use multiple technology platforms.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
Preference Given to those who have:
- Experience working with at-risk people who have a mental health diagnosis.
- Understanding of Trauma Informed Care, and experience providing trauma informed counselling (through behavior management, attachment based, relational, or other appropriate modalities).
- Experience administering and documenting daily medications.
- Experience working with suicide prevention and self-harm behaviour.
- Education in a related field (education, psychology, child and youth care, counselling, health care).
Qualification Requirements:
- Diploma in a related human/social service field and One year recent related experience. Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Must be 19 years or older.
- The equivalent to a Class 5 Driver's license required.
- Must obtain and maintain screening through the Ministry of Justice.
