Overview
The Project Coordinator (Student) supports the effective planning, tracking, and execution of activities across De Havilland’s in service fleet. This role plays a key part in the Aftermarket, ensuring customer commitments are met by maintaining accurate project data, monitoring deliverables, and coordinating with cross-functional teams. The Project Coordinator will work closely with supply chain, engineering, technical publications, and customer service to ensure all activities are properly captured and managed within the company’s ERP system. This role is ideal for a motivated student who is eager to gain hands-on experience in project coordination within a dynamic aerospace environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor active customer deliverables and ensure all critical supply dates are accurate and up to date in DHC’s enterprise ERP system.
- Coordinate with stakeholders such as Supply Chain, Engineering, Technical Publications, Quality, and Customer Service to ensure project milestones and customer commitments are achieved.
- Assist in creating and maintaining project schedules, status reports, and dashboards to improve visibility of project progress and risks.
- Track action items, follow up on outstanding tasks, and support issue resolution to prevent delays in customer programs.
- Support process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives within the project coordination team.
- Provide administrative support for project meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and the distribution of action logs.
- Contribute to data accuracy and integrity across project systems by validating inputs and identifying discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Aviation Management, or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in a customer service, administrative, or coordination-focused role is an asset.
- Knowledge of planning, procurement, or ERP systems is considered beneficial.
- Strong interest in project coordination, aerospace operations, or program management.
Skills
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerBI and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
