Hours of work: Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Flexible Work Role: Hybrid
Annual salary: $ 127,900.00 - 161,800.00
What you'll do
This role is the Manager of Communications for the North Coast Transmission Line project.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Capital Projects and Site C Public Affairs, the position manages the day-to-day corporate
communications and stakeholder engagement functions for the North Coast Transmission Line project that are critical to
ensure the public is informed and engaged on the project through to its completion.
The successful candidate will be accountable for the following:
- Develop and execute a project communications and engagement plan that aligns to business goals and project priorities.
- Implement a construction communications program that helps inform the public and local communities, about upcoming
construction and procurement activities on the project.
- Anticipate, evaluate and proactively manage issues, in collaboration with the Media Relations team, that arise on the
project.
- Develop and execute the project’s website, digital, video and social media content strategy.
- Deliver public and stakeholder outreach strategies including writing communications plans, briefing notes, public
advisories, and news releases.
- Collaborate with Employee Communications team on an internal communications strategy for the project that identifies
opportunities for communicating to the entire organization about the project’s construction progress.
- Deliver in-depth management of emerging issues requiring briefings, recommendations and strategic advice to executives
and government.
- Manage a small team of communication and stakeholder engagement advisors.
What you bring
The ideal candidate will have:
- A university degree in a related discipline such as: communications, marketing, journalism, political science or public
relations.
- Minimum of eight (8) - ten (10) years of relevant experience including comfort in a highly collaborative, deadline-driven
environment.
- Prior experience in communications and/or stakeholder engagement on major capital projects.
- Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and facilitation skills.
- Experience leading teams or progressive leadership experience in a senior leadership role.
- Experience developing and executing social media and other digital platform strategies a key asset.
