Product Development Specialist – 3 Year Contract/Acting Rank 4 Scarborough, ON (Hybrid) Deadline: Please apply by August 10, 2026 at 11:59 PM EST. Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity for an individual to support our Service Retention department. This is a 3 years contract/acting opportunity and will report to the Manager, Product Analysis & Development. The selected candidate will analyze trends, identify opportunities, and design, implement and manage products/programs which align with national objectives and strategies to improve customer retention and parts sales.

Company & Culture A hybrid work environment A work environment built on teamwork, flexibility and respect Professional growth and development programs to help advance your career A focus on respect for people and continuous improvement Summer Hours – condensed work week during the summer Benefits Competitive compensation package Extended health care and dental benefits effective immediately Associate vehicle discount program Paid holiday shutdown and competitive paid time off benefits What You’ll be Doing: Develop, implement, and manage Parts and Service Dealer programs to increase parts sales, customer retention, and drive profitability Manage all aspects of new product implementations and product line expansions in partnership with various internal and external partners (including onboarding new vendors) Conduct research to determine viability of new products, programs, and other opportunities Analyze key product sales trends and program performance at the National and Zone level to identify areas of opportunity and develop associated action plans Prepare planning documentation using PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) principles for national strategic programs Collaborate with Procurement department to secure and maintain partner contracts Manage and maintain supplier relationships while driving accountability across assigned competitive product lines Perform price adjustment analyses and negotiations to maximize Dealer/TCI profitability while maintaining a competitive market position Collaborate with Suppliers, Parts Operations, Field Teams, and Dealer partners to resolve escalated product quality and supply concerns Participate in new model launch committee meetings to ensure service replacement product readiness Compiling annual business plans and collaborating with our global head office, TMC (Toyota Motor Corporation), to secure technical approvals for new additions to the Toyota Genuine Part product line Support the creation, implementation, and maintenance of customer/dealer-facing reference materials, educational content, promotional materials, and job aids Prepare and distribute launch/update communications and performance reporting in relation to assigned products/programs to internal and external stakeholders Communicate with field staff to collect feedback and provide information on key products/promotions Support Dealer/Zone Service Retention Inbox inquiries as the SME (Subject Matter Expert) for assigned products/programs Support the planning, organization, preparation, and delivery of materials (reporting, performance metrics, insights, presentations, etc.) for various TCI, TDA (Toyota Dealer Association), Subcommittee, Zone, and Dealer meetings/conferences Liaise with affiliates/partners (ex. TMNA, TME, TMC) to support best practice sharing and foster Kaizen (continuous improvement) Set annual budget, complete monthly reconciliations/accruals, and quarterly reforecasting activities for portfolio assignments Create and update SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) related to assigned portfolio What You’ll Bring: University/College degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related discipline 3+ years of experience in Product Management, Automotive Marketing and/or Dealership Parts & Service operations is preferred Demonstrated success within a Product/Program Management or analytical role Proven business acumen and development skills Strong administrative, organizational, and project management skills Proven ability to initiate and improve work processes to increase efficiency Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong presentation skills Strong independent time management skills Highly proficient in use of Microsoft office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Teams, Power BI, etc.)
