Service Advisor – River Valley Ford
We are looking for a Service Advisor to join our team and assist our Service Department in delivering outstanding customer experiences. This position is responsible for coordinating vehicle service appointments, advising on necessary repairs, and ensuring a smooth, efficient service process from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic dealership environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assess their service needs in a professional and friendly manner.
- Schedule service appointments and manage repair orders from start to finish.
- Communicate with technicians to understand vehicle issues and relay information to customers.
- Provide estimates for repairs, obtain customer authorization, and keep them informed throughout the service process.
- Conduct vehicle walkarounds and inspections as needed.
- Promote additional services and preventative maintenance based on manufacturer recommendations.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by following up after service completion.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar role in an automotive dealership (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repairs.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment.
- Proficiency in dealership management software (PBS) is considered an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
