About the role

Applications are invited for the position of Part-Time Professor – Carpentry & Renovation, within the School of Trades. This position will commence Spring 2026. This position will also require in-person teaching at our Welland campus.

Reporting to the Associate Dean, School of Trades, this exciting role requires the successful candidate to provide academic leadership while creating a positive and accessible learning environment for our diverse student population.

Required qualifications:

  • Certificate of Qualification in a relevant trade
  • A minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience in carpentry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of excellent teaching and learning practices
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations
  • Evidence of integrating technology effectively into teaching practices
  • Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred candidates may also possess:

  • Competency in curriculum delivery and evaluation
  • Experience teaching math at a post-secondary level
