Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Dartmouth, NS Geotechnical Engineering team and be responsible for the promotion of a health and safety focused mindset, resource management processes, recruitment, career development, coaching and mentoring, and leadership development.
- Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects with support from junior professionals and peers on the team.
- Develop and maintain industry relationships and visibility with current and prospective clients, sub‑consultants, competitor / teaming partners, and potential recruits.
- Lead and coordinate business development efforts and proposals.
- Assist in the development of the annual business plan and budget for the group.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Understanding of the infrastructure market in Atlantic Canada, including key business and project drivers.
- Strong leadership and business development skills, with significant experience building and maintaining productive client relationships.
- Previous success in developing and executing customer and market segment strategic plans.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience delivering high‑quality presentations.
- Ability and willingness to travel within Canada for meetings or conferences, and locally within the province as project needs dictate.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or Geological Engineering from a recognized university.
- Licensed Professional Engineer with at least 5 years professional geotechnical/materials engineering experience, including demonstrated leadership capabilities within an engineering consulting firm.
Pay Transparency
In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Final compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Certain roles are bonus eligible.
