About the role

Hiring: Geotechnical Engineer Location: Medicine Hat and Saskatoon

Experience: 3-10 Years

Eligibility: APEGA

We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to support site investigations, design, and analysis across a range of infrastructure and geohazard projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute geotechnical site investigations
  • Perform geotechnical calculations and technical analysis
  • Design and assess earthen dams
  • Conduct geohazard analysis and mitigation design
  • Install and interpret geotechnical instrumentation
  • Perform construction inspections (foundations, earthworks, etc.)
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil (Geotechnical) or Geological Engineering
  • 3-10 years of relevant geotechnical experience
  • Eligible for membership with APEGA
  • Experience with site investigations and analysis
  • Exposure to dams and/or geohazards considered an asset
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness to travel and work remotely in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to work extended hours when required
