The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate facilitator to deliver two family programs:EME(English Made Easy) andPLANS(Physical Literacy, Arts, Nature, and Science).
EME supports English language development with families, while PLANS is, a seasonal outdoor program (fall and spring), that builds children’s independence, confidence, and resilience through creative group experiences- rain or shine. This combined role offers a unique opportunity to support local and newcomer families by fostering parenting confidence, strengthening community connections, and supporting language learning in a warm, relationship-based environment.
What You’ll Do
-
Provide outreach services to promote program and recruit participants.
-
Engage within divergent perspectives including newcomers, immigrant, refugees, Indigenous peoples and Canadian born with understanding and sensitivity.
-
Teach English as a second language to adults and children.
-
Create, promote, and deliver quality cultural programming for parents/caregivers.
-
Plan and implement lessons and play activities for children aged birth – six years of age.
-
Create a positive and supportive play/learning environment.
-
Shop and provide nutritious snacks for the children.
-
Connect and foster relationships with Professionals in the community.
-
Utilize the Penelope Case Management Software to capture client data.
-
Contribute evaluation and reporting data collection to ECD Family Programs Coordinator.

Work on and off-site as programming dictates (PLANS involves moderate physical activity in outdoor settings, fall and spring).

Participate in workshops and professional trainings.
-
Perform other related duties as required.
What We Are Looking For
-
BA in a relevant field or ECE License to practice preferred.

Knowledge of child growth and development from birth – six years.
-
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships with a diverse range of people.

Ability to work in a team environment.
-
Good verbal and written communication skills.
-
Use of a vehicle is required.
