Sterling Crane has an exciting opportunity for a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (310T Truck and Coach) based in our Corunna, Ontario shop. This is a permanent full-time position working Monday through Friday, with potential overtime and travel to areas of operation required.
Position: Heavy Equipment Technician (Truck and Coach) – Red Seal, Journeyperson.
Location: Corunna, Ontario . Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with potential overtime required.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting, inspecting, testing machinery, repairing and servicing the Sterling equipment fleet.
- Estimate the cost of repairs, order parts and track fleet maintenance in the Sterling Preventative Maintenance Program.
Qualifications
- Journeyperson Red Seal Truck and Coach Technician required.
- Working experience in electrical and hydraulic systems is required.
- Must supply own basic hand tools.
- Possessing a valid AZ driver’s license would be considered an asset.
- The successful candidate must demonstrate safe work practices, follow company policies and be able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- A strong working knowledge of Kobelco, Liebherr and Tadano crane manufacturers is an asset.
- The successful candidate will be required to be in good standing with IUOE 793 or become members of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 793.
Important
- Ideally, the successful candidate would be local to the Sarnia area.
- As a safety sensitive position, it is a condition of employment that candidates successfully pass pre-employment testing that may include Drug and Alcohol screening.
