About the role

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Learning Experience Designer based in Canada. You will play a key role in shaping how employees learn and grow within a global, fast-scaling organization operating across legal, risk, compliance, and HR domains. This role combines instructional design expertise with hands-on eLearning development, turning complex business needs into engaging, structured, and measurable learning experiences. You will lead the full learning lifecycle—from identifying capability gaps to designing learning strategies and delivering high-quality digital training programs. Working closely with HR partners, subject matter experts, and business leaders, you will influence how knowledge is built, shared, and applied across the organization. Your work will directly impact employee performance, onboarding effectiveness, and leadership development at scale. This is a highly collaborative and creative role for someone who thrives at the intersection of learning strategy, design thinking, and digital content development. \n

Accountabilities: Lead learning needs analyses and performance consulting sessions with business stakeholders to identify capability gaps and define learning priorities. Design end-to-end learning strategies, including objectives, success metrics, and learning journeys aligned with business outcomes. Create high-quality instructional materials such as storyboards, scripts, facilitator guides, and learner workbooks. Apply adult learning principles and instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, Bloom’s Taxonomy) to structure effective learning experiences. Develop interactive eLearning modules using Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise), ensuring high production quality and engagement. Collaborate with SMEs and HR stakeholders to gather content, validate accuracy, and maintain alignment throughout development cycles. Publish SCORM/xAPI-compliant content, manage LMS configuration, and ensure smooth deployment and tracking of learning programs. Evaluate training effectiveness using learning evaluation frameworks (e.g., Kirkpatrick) and translate results into actionable improvements. Produce supporting multimedia assets such as graphics, animations, screen recordings, and short-form videos to enhance learning impact. Establish QA standards and development best practices while contributing to continuous improvement of L&D processes. Requirements: 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, combining instructional design and eLearning development responsibilities. Expert proficiency in Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise) and experience creating interactive digital learning content. Strong understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies. Experience working with SCORM/xAPI standards and enterprise Learning Management Systems (LMS). Ability to translate complex subject matter into clear, engaging, and learner-friendly content. Strong communication skills with experience collaborating with SMEs, HR teams, and senior stakeholders. Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple learning initiatives simultaneously. Experience evaluating learning impact and presenting results in clear, executive-ready formats. Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience); advanced certifications are a plus.
