Our client is a leading Canadian wealth management firm experiencing significant growth across the country. They are seeking an accomplished Vice President, Advisor Recruitment (Canada) to lead the firm's advisor acquisition strategy nationwide. This is a highly strategic role for an experienced recruitment or business development executive with an established network of top-performing financial advisors and advisory teams. The successful candidate will play a critical role in identifying, attracting, and transitioning experienced advisors while partnering closely with executive leadership to support the firm's long-term growth objectives. What You'll Be Doing
As Vice President, Advisor Recruitment (Canada), you will lead the full advisor recruitment lifecycle across the Canadian market.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of experienced financial advisors and advisory teams across Canada. Leverage an established professional network to identify, engage, and recruit high-performing advisors. Present and communicate the firm's value proposition, platform, culture, and growth opportunities to prospective recruits. Partner with the Vice President, Corporate Development (North America) to structure competitive transition packages while aligning with profitability and growth objectives. Guide advisor transitions through the recruitment process while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, advisor movement, and industry sentiment to identify strategic recruitment opportunities. Build and maintain trusted relationships with advisors, industry partners, and key stakeholders. Collaborate with internal leadership to ensure a seamless onboarding and integration experience for newly recruited advisors. Provide regular reporting on recruitment activity, pipeline development, market intelligence, and performance metrics.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in advisor recruitment, business development, or executive recruiting within the Canadian wealth management industry. A well-established network of successful financial advisors and advisory teams across Canada. Demonstrated success recruiting experienced advisors and managing complex transition processes. Strong knowledge of the Canadian wealth management landscape, including CIRO requirements and provincial securities regulations. Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills. Strategic mindset with the ability to execute growth initiatives and achieve recruitment objectives. Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with executive leadership.
