About the role

Job Description Reporting to the Branch Manager, this is a key role in the day-to-day operations within the Transportation Division by maintaining and supporting commercial drivers with a primary focus on driver relations, transportation and general administrative tasks.

Salary Range- 58,000-65,000 Responsibilities

  • Manage driver paperwork, training requirements, new hire documents, log audits, boot receipts, and weekly time/attendance for payroll submission.
  • Reconcile broker, supplier, and carrier invoices; investigate and resolve variances; ensure accurate and timely processing of payments.
  • The issuing of purchase orders and account payables.
  • Assist dispatch with coordinating loads and support sales order creation during peak seasons.
  • Helping in budget preparation and planning,
  • Provide Transportation analytics including, sustainability metrics, service level impacts, volume and capacity trends, and lane performance monitoring.
  • Assist in quarterly and annually reporting for fleet.
  • Assist in orientation, pay rolls, billing reconciliation and seasonal hiring.
  • Run integrity reports to ensure data accuracy, track maintenance requirements, and perform general administrative duties as required.
  • Understanding and support of fleet analytics platform.
  • Support outside carrier brokerage loads and assign daily load numbers.
  • The onboarding and support of new and existing outside carriers.

Qualifications

  • University degree or College diploma preferred.
  • Freight, trucking or dispatch experience will be an asset.
  • Data-driven mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, data integrity, and accuracy.

We also carry products specifically for golf courses, lawn & garden, de-icing, waste treatment, and crop seed.

Our business is helping our customers businesses grow by providing farmers with what they need to grow healthy and productive crops. In addition to the products we sell Cavendish Agri Services also provides agricultural services such as crop scouting, GPS mapping, lime spreading, irrigation equipment and farm supplies.
