About the role
Language Trainers is a successful language training company working with freelance teachers of 70 different languages in hundreds of towns and cities across the world. Students are either in-company or self-funded who need to learn a language at their office or their home for work, family or travel reasons. Founded in 2004, the company’s motto is Any Language, Anytime, Anywhere!
We might have a job for you as an Italian teacher.
Some details about the course:
- One of our clients would like to have online general Italian classes.
- This student wishes to have classes online.
- She would like to have a 153-hour course of 5 to 7 hours per lesson.
- Classes should be held 3 times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) at 9 am Ottawa , Canada time. She wants to start lessons in October.
- The student's current level of Italian is Beginner. She can recognize some Italian words and she studied French 20 years ago.
- Motivation to learn Italian: the student needs to reach at least a B1 level. The student needs to be able to speak with Italian counterparts. Focus mainly on speaking and listening, but also working on reading and writing.
- Compensation would be USD 15 per hour.
Please note that we would give full training on the use of the software, but you should:
- be comfortable teaching online
- have a headset
- have a webcam - THIS IS ESSENTIAL
- have your own computer at home and a fast broadband connection
Ideal teacher should:
- Be a native Italian speaker OR hold a teaching degree
- Have experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter
