We are looking for a General Maintenance candidate to join our team in our Head Office location,Dartmouth, NS. The General Maintenance role is responsible for ensuring the overall upkeep, safety, and appearance of company properties across all Dartmouth locations. This includes managing both exterior and interior maintenance activities, supporting seasonal operations, and maintaining assigned equipment and assets in optimal condition. The role plays a key part in delivering a clean, safe, and functional environment for employees, customers, and visitors, while also coordinating with external vendors when specialized work is required.

• Hours of operations are 8-5 Monday to Friday. Hours may vary seasonally.

Principle Responsibilities

• Perform regular groundskeeping duties including lawn care, landscaping, and general site cleanliness
• Manage winter operations such as snow removal and de-icing to ensure safe access to all properties
• Complete minor interior maintenance and repairs, including painting, plumbing, and general upkeep
• Maintain and manage assigned company equipment and vehicles, including preventative maintenance and repairs
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors by sourcing quotes, scheduling work, and overseeing project completion
• Ensure all work is completed in a timely, safe, and cost-effective manner
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and overall property appearance across all locations
• Provide support for property maintenance projects, including minor repairs (e.g., window repairs) and coordination of larger maintenance initiatives as needed
• Conduct monthly walkthrough inspections of both interior and exterior areas to identify maintenance needs, potential issues, and ensure overall building condition standards are maintained
• Perform snow plowing and winter maintenance operations for our six local locations

Required knowledge and training

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or general property maintenance

• Hands-on experience with snow removal operations (plowing, salting, winter safety procedures)

• Ability to coordinate vendors and contractors, including obtaining quotes, scheduling work, and overseeing project completion

• Forklift License is considered an asset
