About the role

Position Title: Winter Seasonal Server
Reports to: Food and Beverage Supervisor / Restaurant Manager
Wage: $19/ph
Position: Seasonal Contract November – Early April / Hourly Position

Position Overview:
The Winter Seasonal Server is responsible for delivering warm, attentive and knowledgeable guest service in a high-volume mountain resort restaurant. This position plays a key role in creating memorable dining experiences while maintaining company standards for safety, service and professionalism. Servers are expected to be team players, multitask efficiently and ensure each guest enjoys a seamless visit.

Experience and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2+ year experience in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of food and beverage service techniques.
  • Comfortable using POS systems (Toast or similar).
  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • Valid Serving It Right Certificate required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Previous experience in a ski resort or seasonal operation is an asset.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Provide outstanding, professional service throughout the guest’s dining experience.
  • Accurately take orders and enter them into the POS system.
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly and check in on guest satisfaction.
  • Follow BC’s alcohol service laws and company policies.
  • Maintain clean and organized dining areas and service stations.
  • Prepare tables, reset for next guests and assist with side duties.
  • Ensure all payment transactions are processed correctly and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar to ensure timely service.
  • Assist with opening, mid, or closing duties as required.
  • Uphold all company safety and sanitation standards.

Working Conditions:

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
  • Ability to remain on feet for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs and perform repetitive motions such as bending, reaching and carrying.
  • Exposure to a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Outdoor travel between venues may be required in snowy/winter conditions.
