Role Description The Business Development Specialist is a contract, on-site role based in Mississauga, ON. This position is responsible for identifying and pursuing new partnership opportunities with local and international organizations, educational agents, and community groups to grow program enrollments. Day-to-day activities include conducting market research, generating and qualifying leads, maintaining a pipeline of prospects, and supporting outreach campaigns and events. The specialist will collaborate with admissions and marketing teams to refine messaging, respond to inquiries, and ensure a high standard of customer service for prospective students and partners. The role also involves tracking key performance metrics, preparing reports, and recommending strategies to improve recruitment and business development outcomes. Qualifications Strong Analytical Skills and Market Research abilities to assess trends, identify opportunities, and support data-informed decisions. Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to build relationships with prospective students, partners, and internal teams. Proven experience in Lead Generation, including prospecting, qualification, and follow-up within an educational or related sector. Familiarity with CRM tools and basic sales or recruitment processes in a post-secondary or training environment. Post-secondary education in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Ability to work on-site in Mississauga, ON, manage multiple priorities, and meet targets within contract timelines. Experience in international student recruitment, education services, or healthcare/business/technology training environments is an asset.
