We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Bioinformatics Scientist to work on a contract basis. The role involves analyzing complex biological data to support research and development initiatives in a cutting-edge scientific environment. Candidates will contribute to data-driven decision-making processes for critical projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement bioinformatics pipelines for genomic data analysis.
- Design and execute computational experiments to interpret biological datasets.

- Maintain and optimize databases for biological sequence and structural data storage.
- Document methodologies, results, and workflows for reproducibility and compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications

- Experience with bioinformatics tools such as BLAST, Bowtie, or SAMtools.
- Strong background in genomics, transcriptomics, or proteomics data processing.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and high-performance computing.
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques applied to biological data.
- Ability to interpret and visualize complex datasets using tools like matplotlib or ggplot2.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements for data handling in biomedical research.
