As a Store Technology Solutions Co-op Student, you will support the team responsible for Sobeys' Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and in-store technology solutions. You will gain hands-on experience working with technology that helps power thousands of daily interactions across our nationwide store network. What You'll Do · Assist in supporting Point-of-Sale (POS) solutions, in-house store applications, and associated technology services within the Store Technology Solutions portfolio · Work with Business Analysts and technical team members to understand business needs and support the translation of requirements into technology solutions · Participate in various phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, testing, deployment, and operational support · Support the investigation and resolution of application issues while helping maintain stable and reliable store systems · Assist with enhancement initiatives and technology projects that improve store operations and customer experiences · Collaborate with business partners, vendors, and technical teams to support project delivery and alignment · Contribute ideas and recommendations that help modernize and enhance store technology platforms The Role is Accountable For · Technology support: Assisting in the maintenance and stability of store technology solutions · Delivery execution: Supporting project and enhancement activities on time and with quality · Collaboration: Building effective working relationships across business and technology teams · Customer focus: Contributing to technology solutions that support stores and improve operational effectiveness At Sobeys, our corporate roles follow a hybrid model with an expectation to work in one of our offices a minimum of three days per week. We are currently offering a 4-month Store Technology Solutions Co-op Student term position in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. What You Bring · Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline · Understanding of software development principles, application support, or systems analysis through coursework, projects, or previous experience · Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and contribute to practical solutions · Strong communication skills and an ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders · Curiosity about retail technology, Point-of-Sale systems, and enterprise applications · Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment · Exposure to retail technologies, application support, software testing, vendor-supported solutions, or technology project delivery, considered a nice to have.
