Job Description: The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) supports staff in the South-West 6 Integrated Rural Health Network by delivering education to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care and efficient system flow. Working under the Acute Care Program Manager and collaborating with leaders, the CNE assesses learning needs, plans and evaluates educational programs, and applies adult learning principles. The role provides leadership, real-time clinical support, and expert guidance to nursing staff, promotes evidence-based practice, and fosters continuous professional development and a supportive learning environment across all shifts.
Human Resources Exemption: No
Experience
- Experience in teaching adults, facilitation skills, and leading group activities
- Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal skills
- Requires experience in planning, program design, implementation, and evaluation.
- Experience using electronic assessment tools will be considered an asset.
- Requires experience in program/resource development related to needs assessment.
- Three years' experience related to the clinical area within the past five years
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

- Ability to apply research to clinical practice
- Demonstrates ability in teaching, facilitation and group activities
- Knowledge in principles of adult education
