The Opportunity
As a Receiving Clerk operating within one of our retail locations, you are responsible for ensuring that product arriving to replenish the store’s inventory is unloaded and distributed accurately within the store’s warehouse. You take ownership over maintaining a well-organized warehouse, are critical to the maintenance of the store’s inventory, and are relied upon as the go-to team member for providing updates on any product that has entered or is leaving the back end of the store. This role requires the ability to work efficiently with little direction, along with strong time management and attention to detail skills.
Responsibilities
- Unload shipments from incoming trucks and sign paperwork upon receipt
- Accurately complete store-to-store and store-to-distribution center deliveries daily
- Receive and allocate products them to their designated place
- Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
- Verify packages according to invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.)
- Communicate to management when a mistake is identified
- Ensure all warehouse products have proper locations in the inventory management system
- Update the inventory system regularly with new product as required
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Work together with all team members to meet and exceed store objectives
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar role
- Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data
- Excellent organizational skills
- Great communication and interpersonal abilities
- Keen eye for detail

This position reports to the Assistant Store Manager(s) and Store Manager.

This position requires team members to work varying hours, seasonal overtime, and shifts during days, evenings, and weekends

This position requires team members to stand for extended periods, climb a ladder and to move merchandise (weighing up to 50 pounds) throughout the store

Steel toe, green patch work boots are required
