Role
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our Legal Department at our headquarters in Coteau-du-Lac. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to work within the specialized transportation industry, supporting complex regulatory compliance, contract management, and litigation matters that are critical to our operations.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring legal compliance across our transportation operations while supporting our legal team in managing contract review and negotiation.
Responsibilities

Draft, review, and modify legal correspondence, legal templates, compliance reports, and regulatory filings
-
Review, analyze, and summarize commercial transportation agreements
-
Coordinate contract amendments and supplemental agreements
-
Maintain contract and databases and ensure proper document retention
-
Process and manage insurance claims, accident & incident reports, and liability matters
-
Coordinate with insurance carriers, adjusters, and external counsel
-
Coordinate legal department calendars, meetings, and court appearances
-
Process invoices from external counsel and service providers
-
Provide administrative support to the corporate lawyers
Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Paralegal Technology from an accredited institution
OR bachelor’s degree in legal studies, Business, or related field OR Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience - Minimum 3+ years of paralegal or legal assistant experience
- French and English – written and verbal communication
Requirements

Experience in transportation, logistics considered an asset but not mandatory

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Familiarity with document management

Proficiency in digital filing systems and electronic document production

Familiarity with using Artificial intelligence tool to enhance productive

Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
