Our client is a leading North American distributor of packaging solutions, foodservice products, facilities maintenance supplies, paper products, and equipment, is looking for a Business Development Representative to cover the Greater Toronto Area.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, expanding market presence, and driving profitable sales growth within the packaging segment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, develop, and manage a portfolio of customers within your assigned territory.
- Identify, prospect, secure, and develop new business opportunities.
- Create and execute strategic business development and sales plans.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and perform regular business reviews.
- Introduce new products and solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Negotiate pricing and commercial agreements while maintaining profitability.
- Develop target accounts and implement growth strategies.
- Support regional and national sales and marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to maximize business opportunities.
- Manage customer information and sales activities using Salesforce CRM.
- Prepare quotations, maintain pricing files, and oversee order management.
- Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Achieve and exceed sales, margin, and profitability objectives.
- Follow company procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Exigences
- Minimum of 3 years of Business-to-Business (B2B) sales experience.
- Post-secondary education in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Experience in the packaging, distribution, or industrial sector is considered a strong asset.
- Proven ability to develop new business and generate revenue growth.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms is an asset.
- Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle required.
- Ability to travel approximately 40% to 60% of the time.
Salary: $65,000 to $75,000 per year base salary + performance incentives + $920 monthly car allowance.
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Status: Permanent, full-time
