We’re seeking a proactive Direct Tax Specialist to support our global tax team in managing corporate income tax compliance and reporting. This role will assist in ensuring accurate, timely filings across multiple jurisdictions while contributing to process improvements and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to grow within a fast-paced, international environment.

What the job is all about:
Direct Tax Compliance & Reporting
- Support the calculation and booking of tax provisions for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles.
- Help maintain accurate and up-to-date tax records for global entities, including tax payments and correspondence.
- Assist with the preparation of corporate income tax returns and supporting documentation across various jurisdictions (with external advisors where necessary).
Tax Operations
- Gathering data from internal systems and teams to support monthly operations, tax filings and audits.
- Support the tax team with year-end audits, statutory reporting, and reconciliations.
- Help with the management of tax calendars to ensure timely filings and payments globally.
Special Projects
- Assist in basic research on local and international tax issues (e.g., permanent establishment, withholding taxes).
- Support ongoing process improvement projects, including automation initiatives and tax technology tools.
Collaboration
- Work closely with finance, accounting, and tax teams.
- Liaise with external advisors and tax authorities as required.
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in tax, accounting, or finance-related role
- Working knowledge of global corporate income tax and tax accounting under IFRS.
- Interest in international tax and working in a multinational environment.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., LN) is a plus.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Bonus points if you have the following:
- Prior experience in a multinational company or Big 4 / mid-tier accounting firm.
- Exposure to international tax concepts (e.g., transfer pricing, permanent establishment, withholding taxes).
- Familiarity with tax compliance platforms (e.g., Thomson Reuters, Vertex, Avalara).
- Experience using ERP systems
- Interest in tax technology and automation tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work effectively across global teams and time zones.
