We are currently seeking an experienced Directional Driller to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario. This is a unionized position offering competitive wages, a union pension plan, vacation pay, comprehensive benefits, and the stability of working with an established and ever-growing company. Candidates must have experience with drilling/locating procedures as well as driving & transporting drills. Candidates must be able to read and interpret plans and locates on site. A strong safety conduct is required as safety is a key to our success!
Essential Responsibilities: Transport drilling equipment to and from job sites Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refill equipment. Read and interpret maps, designs, and locates Safely operates directional drilling equipment and locating tools
Qualifications: Must have 2+ years previous directional drilling/locating experience Must maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract Valid safety certificates (First Aid, Ground Disturbance) Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Vermeer experience is an asset Previous experience in telecommunications is an asset AZ Driver's License is an asset
Working Conditions: Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
