About the role
As a Maintenance - Millwright, you will be part of a team responsible for ensuring that an industrial manufacturing facility and its equipment remain in good working order. Job duties include preventative maintenance, as well as troubleshooting and repairing various types and sizes of industrial manufacturing equipment used to manufacture equipment dedicated to the rugged and challenging terrain of the forestry industry. An Industrial Mechanic Millwright license is required for this role.
Location: 1403 Dundas Street, Woodstock, ON
Dedicated Day Shift: 6:00am - 4:30pm, Monday – Thursday
Job Duties
- General building maintenance, including lighting, doors, loading docks, plumbing, electrical repairs and installations
- Maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment, including CNC machines (Brake Presses, Boring Mills, Lathes), Laser Cutting and Plasma machines, Robotic Welding machines, Industrial Painting equipment, Power Skiving, Heat Treat and other craned-operated manufacturing equipment
- Inspect and diagnose machinery irregularities and malfunctions, and repair or replace defective parts
- Enhance equipment performance by recommending and implementing improvements
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
- Install, align, dismantle, and move industrial machinery and mechanical equipment
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks, and tractors to position machinery and parts during installation, set-up and repair of machinery
Skills and Experience
- Adapt to a changing work environment, competing demands, and be able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events
- Required to inspect, identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and diesel system issues
- Maintenance tasks require collaboration with coworkers; effective communication and reasoning skills are essential when working on projects that involve multiple team members
- Physical requirements include the use of strength such as pulling, pushing, lifting and/or moving objects during the work, as well as standing, climbing, kneeling, and bending
- Potential exposure to weather changes (hot, cold, wind, rain, etc.) when working outdoors
Qualifications
- Licensed Millwright in the province of Ontario
- Previous Millwright experience in an industrial setting
- Mathematical aptitude
- G2 Gas Technician Certification is an asset
