(Job #560095) Student Services Professional I, RAMP Center Coordinator, CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,150 – $5,076 per month, Anticipated Hiring Range: $4,150 - $4,358 per month . Final salary placement is commensurate with experience, internal equity, and budget considerations. This is a full-time, benefited, non-exempt, 12-month pay plan permanent position with a one-year probationary period in the Retention through Academic Mentoring Department. Position Summary
Under the general supervision of the RAMP Director, the RAMP Center Coordinator
serves as the primary operational support person for the RAMP Center and is responsible for coordinating daily center operations, providing front-line customer service, maintaining administrative systems, and serving as the first point of contact for students, mentors, faculty, staff, and community members.
The position supports the implementation of RAMP programs by coordinating
communications, maintaining records, processing student employee documentation, monitoring payroll and training compliance, and facilitating access to campus resources and services.
The RAMP Center Coordinator supports the work of the Director and Program
Coordinator by maintaining efficient operational processes, coordinating logistical and administrative functions, assisting with event implementation, and ensuring that students, mentors, and campus partners receive timely information, referrals, and support. The position is responsible for maintaining a welcoming and organized center environment while supporting the day-to-day operational needs of the Retention through Academic Mentoring Program.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Mentoring Program – 45%
- Support the day-to-day operations of the RAMP Center and mentoring programs serving approximately 900 first-year students and 700 new transfer students.
- Serve as the primary point of contact in the RAMP Center by welcoming students, faculty, staff, and community members and providing information regarding RAMP services, programs, and resources.
- Assist mentors and Lead Mentors with daily operations, office coverage, resource distribution, and student engagement activities.
- Support the implementation of Autumn, Winter, and Spring Mentor Education activities, trainings, and events.
- Assist the Program Coordinator with mentor communications, scheduling, meeting logistics, and related program activities.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings, leadership meetings, and pod meetings and assist with agenda preparation and meeting coordination.
- Assist Lead Mentors with facilitating office hours, preparing materials, coordinating activities, and addressing routine operational questions.
- Provide information regarding mentor recruitment opportunities and assist with outreach and promotional activities.
Administrative and Operational Support – 25%
- Process and monitor mentor timesheets and related employment documentation in accordance with university procedures.
- Coordinate purchasing, inventory management, and distribution of office and program supplies.
- Maintain program records and complete routine data entry related to mentor participation, student engagement, and program activities.
- Coordinate room reservations and event logistics for mentors and professional staff.
- Assist with onboarding processes and employment documentation for student employees participating in mentor education programs.
- Coordinate routine communications to mentors and program participants through email, text messaging, and other approved communication platforms.
- Assist with scheduling interviews, preparing recruitment materials, and coordinating logistics for mentor selection processes.
- Verify completion of required university trainings and documentation.
- Support general administrative and clerical functions including website updates, social media content posting, key control procedures, purchasing support, and records management.
Student and Campus Engagement Support – 25%
- Assist professional staff with outreach and representation of RAMP at Orientation, Welcome Week, Preview, resource fairs, and other university events.
- Prepare and distribute informational materials, presentations, and program resources for students and campus partners.
- Maintain regular communication with Residence Life, Educational Opportunity Program, Summer Bridge, Placed-Based Learning Communities, and other campus partners regarding routine program information.
- Provide referrals to campus resources and services based on established program guidelines.
- Support student engagement initiatives and activities that promote awareness of RAMP programs and services.

- Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration or a job‑related field. Specialized experience during which the applicant has acquired and successfully applied the knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year‑for‑year basis.

- Experience overcoming barriers similar to those confronting Cal Poly Humboldt’s student population of majority low-income, first-generation college students.
- Experience and effectiveness working with first-generation students and/or students who identify as Black, Indigenous, People of Color in a higher education setting

Education Code 89521 Requirements: Applicants will be required to disclose
whether they have received a final administrative decision or final judicial decision determining that they have committed sexual harassment within the last 7 years only after a determination is made that they meet the minimum qualifications for the position, and before an offer of employment is extended.
Applicants who reach the final stages of the application process must also sign
a release form that authorizes the release of information by the applicant’s current and/or former employers to the CSU concerning any substantiated allegations of misconduct.
Additionally, all CSU staff and faculty receive training annually on their
obligations in responding to and reporting incidents of sexual harassment and sexual violence. You will be notified by email when you are required to take this mandated training.
