GSK is looking to hire a Business Intelligence Summer Student to join our collaborative Business Excellence team. This role is hybrid, requiring in-office presence 2–3 days per week, and reports to the Forecasting & Market Insights Manager. The ideal candidate will be based in or near Montreal or Mississauga offices.
As a Business Intelligence Summer Student, you will support data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development that informs key commercial decisions. We value curiosity, strong analytical skills, and a willingness to learn. This role offers real work, visible impact, and a chance to grow skills in data analytics, visualization, and business intelligence. You will help unite science, technology, and talent to get ahead of disease together.
***This is a paid summer student placement running from May 4, 2026 to August 28, 2026, intended for students returning to school following the contract. Internal referrals are welcome. ***
Details (Your Responsibilities)
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
- Prepare, clean, and validate datasets from multiple sources for analysis and reporting.
- Build and maintain dashboards and visual reports using Power BI or similar tools.
- Support forecasting and demand planning activities for key commercial reviews.
- Produce regular KPI reports and summary decks for monthly performance reviews.
- Complete ad hoc analyses to answer stakeholder questions and support decision-making.
- Contribute to team process documentation, training materials, and calendar coordination.

Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (undergraduate or graduate) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field and returning to studies after the placement.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience or coursework in data analysis, including cleaning and transforming data.
- Basic understanding of statistics and data visualization principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Eligible to work in Canada and able to attend the Mississauga office as required.
Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tools.
- Interest or previous exposure to forecasting, marketing mix modeling, or ROI analysis.
- Ability to present insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- French language ability considered an asset.

Ce rôle vous donnera l'opportunité de mener des activités clés pour développer votre carrière. Ces responsabilités comprennent notamment :
- Préparer, nettoyer et valider des ensembles de données provenant de multiples sources pour l’analyse et la production de rapports.
- Construire et maintenir des tableaux de bord et des rapports visuels en utilisant Power BI ou des outils similaires.
- Soutenir les activités de prévision et de planification de la demande pour les revues commerciales clés.
- Produire des rapports réguliers sur les indicateurs clés de performance (KPI) et des présentations de synthèse pour les revues de performance mensuelles.
- Réaliser des analyses ponctuelles pour répondre aux questions des parties prenantes et soutenir la prise de décision.
- Contribuer à la documentation des processus de l'équipe, des supports de formation et à la coordination du calendrier.

- Actuellement inscrit dans un programme postsecondaire (de premier ou deuxième cycle) en science des données, statistiques, informatique, commerce, économie, ingénierie ou un domaine connexe, et retournant aux études après le stage.
- Compétent avec Microsoft Excel et PowerPoint.
- Expérience ou cours en analyse de données, y compris le nettoyage et la transformation des données.
- Compréhension de base des principes de statistique et de visualisation des données.
- Solides compétences en communication écrite et orale en anglais.
- Éligible au travail au Canada et capable de se rendre au bureau de Mississauga selon les besoins.
