About the role
Cameco is currently seeking a legal advisor to assist our team. As a member of the legal team, you will be responsible for providing legal support to Cameco, its subsidiaries, and joint ventures.
In this role, you will:
- provide legal support and advice on corporate matters necessary to the business that may include responsibilities in one or more of these areas:
- negotiate, draft, review and approve commercial agreements, with a focus on marketing contracts
- assist with international projects and joint ventures
- corporate financing, exploration, regulatory matters, and other corporate matters necessary to the business
Required:
- A law degree and member of, or eligible for membership in, the Law Society of Saskatchewan
- A minimum of three to eight years of post-bar call legal experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Strong written and verbal negotiation and communication skills
- Collaborative, results-oriented team member with strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify legal risks and provide risk-adjusted advice and solutions
- Self-directed and motivated, handling various legal projects simultaneously
- Willingness to travel, as required
