Vehicle Maintenance Agent - Administration

Status: Permanent/Full Time - 40hrs/week
Department: Maintenance
Direct supervisor: Assistant Director, Maintenance
Location: Kuujjuaq
The Nunavik Housing Bureau (NHB) provides comfortable, safe and affordable homes adapted to Inuit needs and culture. Through its programs and services, it contributes to the development of vibrant, sustainable and safe communities.
FUNCTION & RESPONSABILITIES
- Maintain an up-to-date status of the vehicle fleet.
- Organizing travel schedules
- Communicate with company vehicle users to identify and address reported issues.
- Schedule necessary repairs based on mechanics’ diagnoses.
- Plan and prioritize repairs before FCNQ’s arrival in the village.
- Track purchases until goods are received by the village, ensuring delivery notes are documented.
- Manage follow-up on damaged goods, complete claims, and report issues to the director.
- Generate cost reports for vehicle repairs.
- Oversee and manage driver conduct, providing coaching on safety and NHB rules and procedures as needed.
- Perform any related tasks as requested by the director.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Secondary V diploma or pertinent experience in replacement of diploma
- Three (3) years of experience ideally related to vehicle management
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work in two of the three languages of the region (Inuktitut, French or English)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Willing to travel to Nunavik and live in shared facilities
